What is CT SPDG?

SPDG is an acronym for State Personnel Development Grant. It is a grant from the U.S. federal government available to states to use in their respective educational systems. Different states are implementing their grants in different ways. This website contains information on how Connecticut is implementing the grant. In a nutshell, the grant enables the state of Connecticut to provide training to teachers and school administrators with the goal of providing equal educational opportunities to all students. In particular the goals are to increase literacy achievement among students with disabilities, students of color, and students with limited English proficiency.

As a parent, you are likely the most important influence in your child’s success in school.
